Conversation of silver memory balls to hold ashes or hair no longer available

I love memory balls in fact I have three of them. Two of them hold six of my favorite wedding photos. One is on a long neck chain and the other is on a bracelet. The third one has six photos of family.

I have wanted to blog about these special pieces of jewellery for a while now and I have just not got round to it. This week I got an email from a lady in England after she received hers, reminding me that I must share how special they can be.

A memory ball can come in a few different sizes and hold six of your favorite images. This can be six photos of a special occasion like a wedding or your hold family can be there together. The most common reason for families to purchase a memory ball from me is to hold a lifetime of memory of one particular loved one that has been lost.

Photos of lost loved ones can be six favorite photos from the beginning of a life to the end of it one this earth. Sometimes the stories and memories have been a long and fruitful life and others are far too short as was the case of the lovely lady in England who's memory ball was one of the saddest I have had to edit and fit in a long time.

Memory balls can be made of Sterling silver or 9ct Yellow, Rose or white gold. The Gold ones only come in one size and style and can hold ashes of a loved one. Sterling silver memory ball come in small range of sizes and can be plain or fancy Plain sterling silver can be made to hold ashes for an additional $50 fancy memory ball can not hold ashes. However hair can be placed inside over images.

22ct Yellow Gold dipped fancy Memory Ball $240
Gold dipped over sterling silver. This is the ONLY Gold dipped piece of jewellery I do and would ever sell. The reason for his is the cost of the solid gold ones. If you wear gold and your budget does not extend to the price of this in solid gold. These gold dipped ones are a great alternative. As you wear these pieces on the outside of cloths and must take them off in water. They wear really well and I have not had any to day have the gold wear away. All my gold lockets are Solid gold I just like to offer these to help all family budgets

Babies still to come $190 (Plain ball)
perfect idea for Grandma to add grandbabies as they arrive

I love this use of memory balls. This was a gift to a Grandmother. There were babies on the way at the time I made this and includes a set of twins on the way. This has the first two Grand babies images set in the first spaces with some hair placed over the top and babies booties to represent the babies to come. Once the babies arrived I was able to re size and edit the images to fit post the family the images that they placed in themselves.

Images in Sterling Silver Memory Balls are not watertight and can be changed at any time. These pieces of jewellery are designed to wear on the outside of cloths and if you ever do get them wet and cause damage to images do not worry extra sets can be include with purchase and you can easily remove old damaged ones and place in the new ones.

Memory balls if this style can also have the images changed over time as children grow.

The only images in memory balls that are watertight and can not be changed are the end two in solid gold memory balls that hold ashes.

To Purchase your special memory ball and email me your six special photos you would like with you every day

Hello Sue-Ella

Are you able to make Memory Balls that fit onto Pandora style bracelets ?

Sue said...

Hi Chareen the smallest memory ball that I have I do put on a normal bracelet but sadly I think it would be too big for a Pandora. you have to also remember that when you have on hanging on a bracelet you have to be carefull getting it wet like when you wash your hands. it can be more tricky. Sue

Hi there

I am interested in a silver memory ball. Dont think i really need the chain. The photos i have of my angel grand daugher Poppy are copied from my laptop. What size are the photos in the ball. Do i just send you any size and you crop or downsize for me. Also how much for ball including postage to Essex England Thanks

Sue said...

Hi I do not mark up the chains as I think it is important to have a chain long enough and strong enough to support the balls. so if you do not want the chain it is $20 less. the photos are about 1.7cm in diameter as the balls are about 2cm in diameter and have a small framed border. to get them to England safest is registered post and that is $25. I fit all images all you need to do is email (do not crop or edit images if a group photo just let me know who it is you want from the group) you can email jpg or pdf files. I hope this has helped. Sue

Hi Sue, i was just wondering are the memory balls small enough to have on a short chain, and are they water proof? :)

Sue said...

Hi Marnie I do wear one of mine on a short chain they are about 2cm in diameter so it is up to your taste. No sorry the memory balls are not watertight they must be taken off. they are kind of too big anyway really to wear in water. xxx

Hi Sue,
If one wants would you provide a bracelet instead of the necklace to hang the memory ball on?
Thanks,
Mira

Sue said...

Hi Mira, Yes I can do memory balls on bracelets and I do have a few small ones that will fit. However the problem with bracelet ones is they are heavy so hang low and as they are not watertight or even water resistant the images can get damaged very easily. as you wash your hands throughout the day it is difficult to keep the ball dry. haveing the ball on a bracelet is difficult email me if you want sue@sueelasignatures.com.au

Hi Sue,
I was just wondering how long it would take you to make a memory ball for me?
Thank you

Hi sue, do you do memory balls in white gold and if so how much??

Thanks

Sue said...

Hi yes the solid gold memory ball can be made in any of the three gold colours white rose or yellow and they are $1400 I hope that helps I make that clearer in my blog. Oh and they take up to 3 weeks to make Sue

Hi sue
I am wondering if the yellow gold dipped fancy memory ball is able to hold ashes?

Anonymous said...

Sorry I can only do plain gold dipped due to the constructions of the balls. email me if that helps Sue

Sue said...

Hi, Sorry the fancy ones that are dipped can not hold ashes as there is space in the top that is open. I can only do plain silver or plain gold dipped or the solid gold ones have fancy engraving. Let me know if plain gold dipped will suit you. Sue

Hi sue
Thanks for replying so quickly
The only memory balls that will hold ashes are the plain ball with no I graving etc.... ???
Are there some pictures you might be able to send me of the plain balls dipped ??
Thank you

Sue said...

Hi I am away for the week end but if you email me I can send you a photo on Monday. you can see the plain balls in the photos above and the colour is the same as the dipped fancy one 22ct gold dipped.my email is sue@sueeellasignatures.com.au

That sounds great thanks. I was also think if the fancy balls still have the little compartment at the top is it possible to put some ashes in a tiny sealed bag and then in the top?? Or do the fancy balls not have those compartments???

Sue said...

Sorry not the fancy ones can not hold ashes or hair as you can see into them and anything placed in there would fall out. the only "sort" of fancy that can hold ashes is the solid gold ones with the engraving on them otherwise it really has to be the plain ones.

Ok thanx. I absolutely love the solid gold fancy ball do these all just have the one size or can they be made any smaller?

Sue said...

No sorry the solid ones are magnificent but that is all they come in and are about 23grams that is why they cost that much

Hi Sue, is it possible to provide the gold in order to have a memory ball made? If so, how long would it take to make? I don't want it to hold any photo's, but to simply have an initial engraved on each flat surface. Is this possible? Thank you..! Narelle

Sue said...
